Paul and Bear

Meeting Paul and talking to him is quite an inspiration. Paul’s dog is a 1-year-old labradoodle named Bear. For a few years, Paul’s wife wanted to get a dog. Paul was driving down Broadway and saw a sign that said labradoodle puppies were available in Angelica, NY. Paul and his wife went to see them and one dog with the cutest face stood out. Having never been groomed, his fur was very long and he looked like a bear! Hence the name Bear!

After 2 or 3 days of being in the home, everybody was madly in love with Bear. Bear definitely took the edge off of things in life. Paul has decided he will not fly anymore and he will drive to any of his vacations so he can take Bear with him. Bear comes to the park at least every other day. Bear loves to run and play with the other dogs. Two of Bear’s many strengths are he doesn’t really bark or shed! Historically Paul’s dogs were always named after music. An example was his dog Baritone! A huge part of Paul’s life is his love of music and playing in a band. He is a member of an Eagles cover band.

As we had talked that weekend he was going to play at Party House. Our park has many musicians and it seems these individuals have been able to seek out other musicians. A strong bond has developed between them as they discuss music! A joyful, replenishing hobby is camping. Loving the beach, Paul has a camper on Lake Erie. Paul’s most favorite hobbies include spending time with his wife and family as he boasts proudly of his 9 grandchildren! They bring so much happiness into his world. Paul is very happily married and lives in Lancaster.

He has a blessed life and loves his Jesus and Lord. When asked what could be done to improve the park he said it is a beautiful place but it’d be great if you could lose some of those stones! Paul’s most eager to help out with events to benefit the dog park. He has even suggested a day of music with different bands playing in Shelter 3! There is always next year Paul! Thanks for joining our volunteer committee. Thank you Paul for everything!
